For several years the Rotary Club of Brown County has sponsored and
coordinated a very popular and well-received project called I Like
Me books. Through this project each kindergarten child in Brown
County elementary schools receives a hardcover book personalized
with the child’s name, friends’ names, teacher, school, town, etc.
included in the story. Our Rotary Club partners with other community
organizations and businesses to financially support this program.
Members from our club personally read the books to the children
and give a book to each kindergartener. It is amazing to see the
delight that the children express at seeing their names in print and
a story about them. |

CENTENNIAL TREES In celebration of Rotary International’s 100th anniversary, the Rotary Club of Brown County planted 140 trees in the community. Trees were planted at the 4-H Fairgrounds, Brown County YMCA, Brown County Public Library, and along Nashville streets. Club members continue to maintain the young trees by pruning and mulching each year. Pictured are several Rotarians tending the trees.
