ROTARY INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS

PolioPlus

The eradication of polio has been a signature Rotary International goal and project since the mid 1980’s.  Rotary clubs have donated through Rotary International over $600 million and countless volunteer hours to help immunize over two billion children against polio resulting in a 99% decrease in polio worldwide.  Rotary International is currently striving to meet a $100 million matching grant from the Melinda & Bill Gates Foundation to assist in the final phases of polio eradication.  The Rotary Club of Brown County continues to raise funds for the PolioPlus program.
